Wild can't solve Borbosvsky

The Minnesota Wild having such a dominating record all year until this week losing 2 games both via shutouts had one more chance to get a win. The Columbus Blue Jackets came in to the X Saturday night on the first game of their 6 game road trip.

Let’s start these guys out their trip with a loss and get some separation from them in the division standings. Minnesota had a chance to sweep the season series for the first time. It is a must win.

I had such a good feeling about the team getting a win. The team must have had the same feeling the way the first period went for the Wild.

The way the first few seconds started in the game with Charlie Coyle taking a match penalty I thought would really get the team sparked maybe from anger in losing a player who was going to be key.

I had been so excited to see Coyle reunited with Koivu and Parise. I liked the move of Jason Ponville with his second line mates. I really thought the lines would produce more. The speculation ended up pointless after Coyle left.

The shots on goal, the scoring chances was crazy to see by the Wild and finally after being held scoreless in the home stand for 135 minutes and 59 seconds Pierre –Marc Bouchard finally lights the lamp. Here we go Wild I thought finally and now we want more.

I am not by any means a huge hockey mind but after watching Jason Zucker perform Saturday I wonder why he does not stay up. The guy is lightning on skates and his shots are very accurate.

I am obviously not a coach just a fan but as a fan I do have hopes and dreams. I want the Wild in the playoffs so bad and the energy this young man has needs to be on the ice.

I love the physical play of Devin Setoguchi and Cal Clutterbuck with all the bone crushing hits on the wall.

The shots on goal continued to pile and the scoring chances had me coming out of my seat in hopes.

I don’t know about you but have we seen a goalie play better against the Wild then Blue Jacket’s goalie Sergei Bobrovsky?

The guy won the game for them. I did not like the chances of the Wild in a shootout the way he played all game.

It was just not 39 shots on goal with many of them quality chances to be a goal.

This had to be the best game the Wild have played in some time yet results as a loss. It is such a shame to have that effort yet a guy play out of his minds in net.

The team is struggling to score; Koivu does not have a point in the month of April. What is it going to take to get this team going?

We have seen the Wild go 7-1 not too long ago. I have talked with many who believe Matt Cullen was bigger than people gave him credit along with Dany Heatley.

Cullen is expected back soon and Heatley out for the year. It will be interesting to see what line combos Coach Yeo comes up with.

Please keep Zucker up whatever you do.

I will close by saying Wild defensemen Clayton Stoner I have a hard time watching. He made the bad pass in the Chicago game and now Saturday I do not know if I have seen a Wild player got beat so bad in a fight.

7 games left with 4 on the road and 3 at home for the Wild. It isn’t too late but unless the team can get some scoring punch figured out was as fans are going to have to hope the team can make the playoffs.

Chicago, St. Louis and Columbus all look tough going into the playoffs. I just want to say the Wild look tough as well.

Come on Wild please be a Minnesota team that does not let me down. GO WILD!!!!!!!
